Vaigasi Poranthachu is a 1990 Tamil drama film directed by Radha Bharathi. The film features newcomers Prashanth and Kaveri in lead roles. The film, produced by K. Prabakaran, had musical score by Deva and was released on 16 November 1990.

The film marked the debut of Thyagarajan's son Prashanth. The film turned out to be a big hit. Upon its success, the film was remade in Hindi as I Love You starring Prashanth, reprising his role from the original, and Sabah.

Kumaresan (Prashanth), a poor boy, falls in love with Ranjitha (Kaveri), an arrogant and rich girl. The rest of the story is he will get married with her or not.
